Join UCPCM
A.General Members:
- California or other states licensed acupuncturists, who agree with UCPCM’s mission, abide to the Bylaws, and pay membership dues on time, are considered as general members.
- Every new general member is required to pay a onetime foundation fee of $100 along with his/her first year membership due of $130 before June 30th and $75 after June 30th. He/she is required to pay an annual fee of $130 each year afterwards. Exception: the onetime foundation fee is waivered for the new general member who receive his/ her license within a year.
- General members who pay dues in full and on-time have the rights of voting, being elected, creating and vetoing, modifying the Bylaws, and recalling. They enjoy full membership benefits.
- A membership is revoked automatically when a member does not pay his/her membership fees for over two years. Should he/she decide to join UCPCM again in the future, he/she will be considered as a new member.
- Non-acupuncture practitioners who agree with UCPCM’s mission, abide to the Bylaws, and pay membership dues on time are considered as sponsor members.
- Every new sponsor member is required to pay a one-time foundation fee of $100 along with his/her first year membership due of $130. He/she is required to pay an annual fee of $130 before June 30th each year afterwards.
- Sponsor members do not have the rights of voting, being elected, creating and vetoing, modifying the Bylaws, and recalling. However, they enjoy all other membership benefits as general members.
- Students who are currently enrolled in TCM/acupuncture schools and agree with UCPCM’s mission, abide to the Bylaws, and pay membership dues on time are considered as student members.
- Student members are not required to pay the foundation fee. However, they are required to pay an annual fee of $50 before June 30th each year.
- Student members do not have the rights of voting, being elected, creating and vetoing, modifying the Bylaws, and recalling. However, they enjoy all other membership benefits as general members.
- Someone who agrees with UCPCM’s mission, has good moral characters enthusiastically supports and promotes TCM, donates $500 or more, and is approved by the Board of Directors, is considered as an honorary member.
- Honorary members do not have the rights of voting, being elected, creating and vetoing, modifying the Bylaws, and recalling. However, they enjoy all other membership benefits as general members.
- After retirement and no longer holding a valid license, a general member can be considered as an honorary member and is not required to pay annual membership dues.
